I have bought my partner expensive perfume but i got the wrong one, can i exchange it?

Basically i done the typical guy thing and got her fragrance wrong and she has removed the plastic wrapping from the box but not removed the actual perfume will the shop take it back in exchange for the corrent one since the wrapping has been removed?I have bought my partner expensive perfume but i got the wrong one, can i exchange it?

Usually yes they will, even if you don't have the receipt they should exchange it %26amp; if the one you swop to is less money they will sometimes give you the cash but usually they will give you a voucher/credit note for the difference!


Also if they dont have the perfume that you do want they will only give you a credit note without a receipt!





If you do have a receipt they should either exchange or refund the amount in the same way as you paid eg. cash or card!!





I dont know if they are legally obliged to unless faulty but most places do as it makes better business sense as it means you are more likely to shop there in the future if they are helpful!

You have to try. Take the receipt and the perfume and ask them. Read the receipt though. Some stores allow a limited time, some 3 days, some a week. And some stores allow an exchange but not a refund. Try your luck man. And if you ask nicely, perhaps the sales people will reconsider. I mean, they don't want to lose a potential loyal customer right?
