I'm wrting this representation thing about a chanel perfume and i have to explain what sort of people would buy it and what sort of lifestyle it represents. ???What sort of people buy chanel or other expensive designer label perfume?
When you see some poor skinny starving people in a 3rd world country you usually don't think perfume. I think it represents a country where people are well off enough to even consider a perfume. Expensive labels are usually purchased by people with good taste. Why bother with something that smells like batroom air freshner. It's better to just wear a deodorant. A bottle of good perfume lasts you a couple of years. You're wearing it every day. Over the period of two years, it can't possibly matter if you spend $30 on a bottle of cheap crap or $90 on something decent.
If you can afford it at all, you can afford an expensive one.
I absolutely love scents and perfumes. I have a few bottles from Christian Dior and Prada even though I have well below average income. I save on rent, food, clothes but not on perfume, shoes and lingere. What sort of people buy chanel or other expensive designer label perfume?
People who like the scent and have enough money to splurge a little. I don't think you can categorize people who own these perfumes into a specific type.
Even some people who don't have much money at all often like to spend their money on these types of frivolous things, so it doesn't necessarily mean that you're rich.
I had a coworker once who would buy 2 or 3 Starbucks frappuchinos every day, but then she didn't have enough money to feed her kids properly and just made them crap like macaroni and cheese... every day.
p.s. You're writing a presentation, not a representation.
I have Chanel No. 5.
I love perfume. I don't think it matters about the lifestyle, I think it's just that people who like something are willing to spend a bit more money that would normally to get it (or just how much they would always spend i guess).
The people are called ';Aspirational'; they buy based on what they hope to become. Pick up a book called ';Why We Buy';.
No one rushes to the Chanel counter because they are looking for a new scent and the same people wouldn't be caught dead wearing Britney Spear even if it smelled good.
p.s. Coco Chanel was considered to be a Nazi sympathizer
my grandma loces it she has a spray bottle an the actual perfu me thats a tiny bottle my grandad bought her an it were 55 quid
First off..perfume is a very personable item to anyone. If someone happens to find a perfume that they like its probably because it mixes well with there pheremones. While it may set others off. Designer labels is what people know and what they see and what they hear about. But if you go into a perfume shop Im sure they will introduce to perfumes/colognes that you may have never heard about.
i don't think chanel is that expensive. i have bought coco chanel and i am an average person with an average income
I think when you get older, you just get what you like. Right now, believe it or not, I love Haiku from Avon! As a matter of fact, my rep gave me a code I can use online to get it shipped right to me for only $3 (for the shipping, not the Haiku! If you want the code, it's SHP3, or if you spend $30 or more shipping is free if you have code REP30)
It also kind of depends on what chanel perfume you are refering to. If its no.5 then the classic, upper east new yorker image. But really Chanel's for the everyday, confident woman and thats what Coco would have thought too.
